Hey Guys, I may need a few testers

Currently working on a secret game project (It's secret until it's in a presentable stage) (Entirely free too) but I'm close to the point where I can get some opinions for it as a whole. I don't want to spoil it just yet so I'll leave a puzzle to see if you can figure out what I'm planning.

Thirteen Orbits have come and gone since the Maker of Games was born.
And in two more Orbits, it will be Fifteen. On November 15th to be exact.
Since its birth, many Indie Games have been made from it including Iji. Many worlds have been made.
But what if these worlds would come together?
Would they fight? And suppose they did, who would win?

Anywho, I would appreciate anyone willing to test once its ready. Do I have any takers? (Just a heads up, Windows Vista or better will be needed)

(PS. If you really want to know what I'm working on before volunteering to test, send me a PM. But please keep it secret. Mainly because it's something I'd like to surprise a Game Developing community I'm part of with)

It's not that game. That's too big to be a side project. So I'll be waiting until my big project is finished first.

The concept engine should be ready today. It's got a few things to sort out

I don't support OS or any Mac. There are too many complications that Windows avoids. You actually have to pay for a license just to compile an Apple game.

I'm currently doing a bit of tinkering before I send you all the engine to try out. Just need a bit of time

Interesting concept, I like the idea and the gameplay isn't all that bad even in concept. Expecting it to be conceptual and not actual, I enjoyed it alot despite the Menu nagivation. Also, the resolution is 'TINY', which sort of... makes the game less enjoyable.

- Continue with the project, that's my take.

Could you tell me what's wrong with the Menu Navigation? Would definitely help!

I will be looking into ways to make the screen bigger but beneficial for me the developer and you the players

I agree with what vincore said, and I think that I can get a little deep with the menu:

-In the character select screen I got confused because the buttons to navigate through the menu worked, but then I forgot that the Mouse is used there.
- The fact that you need to keep clicking on the "Next" button in the character select screen got me confused because I didn't knew that I had to keep clicking on it until the stage select screen shows up.
- The scrolling background blends with the buttons.

I think that this pretty much sums my main concerns with the menu navigation.

Another thing in the game is that in the team game, the CPU get out of the screen and sometimes it just keep there. I know that this is just a test, but it's a test in the right direction. :D

Also, I report that the game work flawlessly on Windows 8. C:

I also had a big issue with understanding the menus and how they worked to the point where i had to use the read me, remember what makes sense to the person building the game might not for someone new to it try to think of the game as a player im still playing it so ill post some more soon its got promise but does it really have to be a mash up why not make it your own, perhaps tie it in with the series the blue guy comes from

EDIT: the game crashed after i went from the game i was playing right back into a new match i quickly skipped past all the option selects since there is only one thing you can do and the game stopped responding when it started loading the stage

Hmm...

Do you think that making the Next Button highlight when you can select it would be an idea?

Surely that's a good thing if the buttons don't stick out that much? Or is it blending in the bad sense?

I have yet to implement a function to help with this. Does anyone have any ideas?

i just had a glitch when playing FFA battle timed 2 minutes all lvl 1 CPUs now i was just spamming a regular attack for a bit when all of a sudden the match ended (2 minutes had not gone by yet) and all the players had their winning pose (it still said i won though)
i am currently trying to recreate this

If you could find out if this happens again. It should never occur as there's two variables used for timed battles and they are only modified in a few places.
