The walking dead (show, not so much graphic novel)

Post by god-of-paradise on Thu Oct 04, 2012 10:26 pm

Anyone who has not watched the walking dead series might wanna stay away from this section :P Spoilers GalORE! I just finished season 2 (netflix is amazing) and hyped for season 3. What are your thoughts on the show?

Please though, if you are posting something important from a certain episode, put spoilers around it for the " zombie virgin" eyes xD

I've actually just started watching it. Played the game on PSN and that's what drove me in to watch the show. I love both the game and the show so far! :P

Also, For Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, this year, turns out the theme is The Walking Dead and Silent Hill, so I'm super hyped that two things that I like are coming together for me to actually be a part of! cheers

the games are actually REALLY good aren't they?? People were wary of them when they first were announced but I think they really pulled through with giving a good story :P no spoilers but episode 2 on the game is my fav so far.

That should be exciting! A little zombie/pyramid head action for halloween this year :P have fun

I was gonna watch it on Netflix but I was using a friend's Netflix and they stopped paying for it. I'm not sure if she started paying for it again, she hasn't answered my texts in a couple of months now.

After watching Season 3's premiere yesterday, I can safely say (without spoilers) that it's still the best show on TV right now, by miles.

I know right?! But anyone that hasn't watched it yet can get a chance to watch everything soon. Looks like all day New Years Eve and New Years Day is a Walking Dead marathon from the first episode of season 1 to the latest episode. There's a chance for me to watch the things I missed in the first season!

I love the fact that the writers can actually keep me in suspense. Normally I can't help but laugh at suspense attempts in TV shows, but only Walking Dead can leave me wanting more. That's why I wasn't mad at the midseason finale's ending.

I do agree. The suspense in this show is truly what makes it great. Its different from any other zombie/walker related movie or show and actually makes you yell "no don't have him/her die!"... rather than having it be like "you shouldn't have gone outside..." xD

Dexter puts me on the edge of my seat as well though, thats the one other show I can get really sucked into

I'm bumping this...

Just finished the last chapter of the Walking Dead game and all I've gotta say is: Damn...

That's the first time I've actually felt something while playing a game in a while... Usually, when I complete a game, the only feeling that I have is emptiness. Like there's nothing else to do and that it's too bad that I can't keep the story going. But with the Walking Dead, well... TellTale has done a very good job at messing with my emotions. Towards the end I think I was actually on the verge of tears, to be honest.
