They're changing Ultron's origin. Unfortunately, it seems that Marvel can't get enough of blowing Tony Stark's relevance.

Can anyone recommend a good and bad superhero animated movie?

To be honest, I don't really know about a definitively bad animated superhero movie. But if I had to pick one that I'd rate as one of the lowest, I'd say Hulk vs. Thor.

As for good, there's way too many to count. But if you need a safe bet, I'd recommend All-Star Superman or Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

All right, I was actually thinking of Batman Beyond:Return of the Joker. Any others I should look out for other than those two? Like at most 5 other movies.

Oh, I can give plenty of other suggestions for good animated movies. Batman: Under the Red Hood, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Justice League: Doom, and Superman vs. The Elite for starters.

DC is pretty much the king of animation and everyone agrees that they kick Marvel's ass in this media, but the latter still has a few pretty good movies. You can try out Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme, Hulk vs. Wolverine, Thor: Tales of Asgard, and Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2.

So I saw Guardians of the Galaxy.

Very likely my favorite of the Marvel CU so far. It's rare that I laugh at movies, and this one got me several times. You could feel the heart in this one. Also, super kudos to Batista for being good in a movie; pretty much the first time that's happened to any wrestler-actor (I've never seen the Rock do anything above mediocre overall). His performance was excellent to me (in part due to the writing, but his delivery sold it), and this may be Vin Diesel's best performance yet.

The worst part of the movie was seeing Robin Williams in a preview for the pretty good looking new Night at the Museum movie, and then finding out right after the movie ended that he died.

Agree with all of that. One of the very few Marvel Studios movies where it actually lined up with how I would prefer to have superheroes shown off, a good balance of humor, emotion, and seriousness. I knew Rocket and Groot were going to be great, but I had no idea how much I was going to love Batista as Drax, seriously. Really glad that James Gunn is on for the sequel in 2017. Oh, and you've gotta love that 80's OST, seriously.

As for Robin Williams, bless his soul. I've seen a fair share of both his memorable and critically bad roles, but he was still a legitimately funny and likable person/actor. Hell, I even remember him from that 3DS trailer with his daughter, Zelda Rae Williams, which I really liked for some reason. I'm not going to act like I was his biggest fan or that I'm rolling up in tears, but it is indeed tragic, especially at the age of 63. Sorry, I only meant to go off-topic for a bit with that since you mentioned it, DP, and I just found out less than half an hour ago.

Watch some of his stand up. He's legitimately one of the funniest people when he's off the cuff. His movie roles were sometimes awful, but he's a sailor in real life lol.

I'm so looking forward to GotG2. Especially if a certain avian creature is flapping into the cast.

Best end-credits teaser ever, nuff said. And it might be possible due to this character having their own comics getting re-released recently, as well as new appearances in Marvel comics out of the blue.

Saw that movie a week ago. That movie was definitely my jam. I sat in that theater, and the movie hit me like a speeding banana wagon-coaster in space. I was all like, this is pretty dang funny. Everyone in that theater was laughing. My friend was laughing. And my man Rocket Raccoon and his gang, be kicking butt and shit. And when it was all over, I was all happy and feeling good to be alive.

But for real though, that movie was good.

I loved the Cast. Drax was great sure, But Rocket and Groot were by far the best characters. thats not saying the rest were bad. its just...they were so much win!

my only problem is how little Badassery Ronan was involved in. Seriously, he's in one fight, he's basically defeated by sitting there and taking attacks (Large Attacks but Attacks). The villains were a bit of a let down.

on the other hand Thanos.

yes.

also Howard the Freakin Duck.

I think that we should get used to every villain not in an Avengers movie being lackluster, lpool. And of course Groot and Rocket were the best, it's just a surprise that Kratos 2.0. actually turned out to be an intricately funny guy. I feel like Gamora could've played out a BIT more in terms of being major, but that's just me.

And maybe it's just me, but I'm calling Kang for Avengers 3 and Thanos in his own Infinity Gauntlet film with Avengers plus Guardians. I mean, Thanos hasn't even started collecting the Infinity Gems and not all of them have even been revealed, and we're at the final film of Phase 2. XD

Howard for Guardians 2.

Oh no. WB just announced literally 13 movies in the DCCU. Flash movie in four years, with a set actor already. That means Flash is in Batman v Superman. Affleck gets his own movie, Superman 3, Lego Batman oddly enough, etc.

This could get ugly.

I'm still getting over my disappointment of DC not taking advantage of having the CW Arrow and Flash shows in the same continuity as the movies. Seriously, the one time they could be ahead of Marvel in their cinematic universe (besides Wonder Woman being the first modern and potentially good female-led superhero movie), and they blow it lol.

http://marvel.com/news/movies/24062/sony_pictures_entertainment_brings_marvel_studios_into_the_amazing_world_of_spider-man#ixzz3RJXqnVeF

So Sony finally caved. Spider-Man is going back to Marvel, with the caveat that Sony still seems to own the license. So Disney just paid up to finish the list of (important) Avengers. Y'know, besides the X-Men. And Fantastic Four. So really they've got a ways to go.
