General Comics and Related media discussion.

Think Iron Man would beat Flash? Love Bateman Beyond? Sad prof X is dead again? Anything comic related goes here by decree of the squirrel!

By decree of the squirrel, this thread has been stickied!

My stance on comics, Marvel Comics > DC Comics.

That's just me though.

I'm not really sad at all that Prof. X is dead. I'll bet my whole college fund that he'll be back in 1-2 years. Just check out this link:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/18/the-many-deaths-of-professor-x

He was only killed just because the X comics weren't planning on using him soon. As soon as they find something that requires him or wants to pull a cliche twist, he'll be back in the snap of a finger.

And lol, Bateman Beyond. Reminds me of the title of this video:

Also, without a LOT of prep, Barry'll own Tony for sure. Flash is literally one of the most powerful Earth-based heroes in comic history.

Am I the only one who wanted Robin from the Teen Titans to meet Batman in an episode and have Batman work with the Teen Titans...I was kinda disappointed at the fact that it never happened..=/

Teen Titans help Batman stop the Joker in West Coast City...

@CountMario: I'm exactly like that rofl! xD
Marvel > DC...

That X-Men theme was fucking amazing!
All the old Marvel shows were awesome and when the X-Men met Spider-man in that one episode!
OH! When Spider-man met DareDevil too, EVEN BETTER when he met Iron Man!

Oh my god the memories...DAMN YOU ALL! (Goes to relive childhood on NetFlix.)

Lol!
I was just playing around. I love both, and to be honest I prefer DC because of their dark story narration and depth. Then again, I'm fairly weird when it comes to favoring background stories.

Speaking of Marvel, anyone not see this?

OMG, I wanted the SAME EXACT THING in Teen Titans! Or at least Dick meeting some of the other Robins (Red X might've been Jason Todd though).

And I have the same thoughts about the X-Men theme, I always hum it every once in a while. And I remember that episode! Spidey vs. Wolverine in Spider-Man the Animated Series with the Hobgoblin stalking them to defeat the winner was one of my childhood highlights. I loved all the team-ups he had! What I especially loved was how Venom and his struggles were portrayed and how Peter is actually in his twenties like the comics are! I personally love both the 90's show and Spectacular Spider-Man, but Ultimate Spider-Man can go drown for all I care. :P

What would be awesome is if there was a whole channel dedicated to Marvel animated shows and that they were all tied together in one universe like the movies. That would be so awesome! <3

And don't worry, Vincore. I know you were just playing around. But believe me, Marvel has it's fair share of dark narration, Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, X-Men, etc. are literally FILLED with it almost every arc. And I can't wait for the Deadpool game! You know what would be awesome though? A DOCTOR STRANGE MOVIE.

I'd honestly like to see the Deadpool movie first due to the horrible treatment he received in Origins...=/

I hope that when they make that Deadpool movie, Deadpool references that horrible Deadpool haha!

Deadpool should tape some knifes to his palms and say, "Look familiar? It's Baraka-Pool!" lol, that is probably the one reason why I'm so hyped for it. You know, I would love a whole movie dedicated to a Spidey/Deadpool team-up.

Spoiler:

I'm telling you, both of their humor on screen would sell millions...

I've watched Armored Adventures and I think it was pretty decent. I was turned off at first due to the 3D animation and the main cast being younger than the comics, but when I decided to try and look past that, I actually started liking it. However, I'm not really "addicted" to watching it like some other super-hero shows though.

As for favorite Marvel/DC heroes...

I actually currently have subscriptions to both of their comics. <3 Red Hood is awesome too though (I love all of the former Robins). I don't care too much for X-23, but I think she's alright.

You're a Wolverine fan?

He's actually my SECOND favorite Marvel character. I thought the race of Wolverine fans was extinct long ago... Seriously, he gets too much hate from the comic community nowadays. I mean, I know Marvel likes to shove him down our throats in all of the X-Men/Avenger titles and he shouldn't be so "overrated", but he's still the best there is at what he does. Wink And I love Deadpool, also. (Check out the spoilers I posted above. It's only labeled that because I posted like five huge comic panels.)

This scene will forever be engraved into my memory:

But is anyone excited for the new "Death of the Family" arc if you're caught up on current Batman continuity?

Another awesome movie.

Did you watch Superman and the Elite though? I'll admit, I was turned off by he art-style and thought of the storyline at first, but it literally turned out to be an awesome movie!

My favorite part:
