Finished reading Holyland and Veritas about a month ago. I highly recommend both of these if any of you are into fighting manga. Holyland is definitely more fulfilling and has a great story, and Veritas is great yet the ending and the history of what happens to that story is sad.

Just watched the Gurren Langann video Jecht. I remember seeing that chick with the red hair skull bow thing but I never knew it was this xD anyway, it looks really good. And I'm glad FLCL is short. I'll get to both whenever I can mooch off my friend's internet, which is godly.

If people haven't yet they should watch Monster. It's just fantastic. Realistic and not so anime-ish. Might start a little slow but one of the great series IMO.

Kenzou Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon in Germany, had it all: incredible skill at his work, a rich and beautiful fiancee, and a promising career at his hospital. However, after becoming disenchanted by hospital politics, he chose to save the life of a young boy who got shot in the head over the life of the mayor. As a result he lost the support of the hospital director, as well as his position in the hospital and his fiance. A short time later, the hospital director and the doctors that replaced him were murdered, and once again he was catapulted back onto the top. But as the chief suspect of the murders, Tenma did not get a easy life. As a matter of fact, it seems that the boy he saved was much more than he had appeared to be... Now to clear his name and to correct his past mistake, Tenma must get to the bottom of these and other murders, and investigate the truth of the Monster who is behind all of this.

Re: Anime/Manga

Post by Pyro-Hem on Thu Feb 28, 2013 7:42 pm

I don't ever really watch anime or read anime EVER. Obviously, dragonfire has changed that for me a bit with her suggestions, but the only things that I have really read or watched are things that I caught while bored.

Anime:
Deadman Wonderland
Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt

Manga:
Deadman Wonderland
Medaka Box (Suggested to me by dragonfire)
