I bought a Vita

Post by DP on Sat Jun 06, 2015 12:00 am

Technically. I got a PSTV. Best Buy is selling them for $40 right now, no idea how long it lasts for, or if it's even a sale or a price cut before they discontinue. Point is, get 'em now!

Shit, man. Well the sale's about a week old already so you might be able to take advantage still later on.

It's been going on that long already? x.x  And, hopefully so, but I never get money really.

A friend of mine got his PSTV for free with his PS4. We tried it with my Vita games and it seems games that do not depend on the touchscreen for stuff will work fine but, I'm unsure if there's any way to enable touchpad on the PS4 controller to make it work. Otherwise, avoid games that need a touchscreen for a required mechanic (Lock-on, Item use/throw, ect.) unless you find someway for it to work.

And I'm unsure if you can increase the memory cause I didn't see any slot or anything on the thing.

I should probably go back to my friend's place and goof around with it.

As far as I knew the PSTV had a memory card slot that took Vita cards. And I think the goal was to patch it so that DS4 touchpads worked but they never fully realized that goal. Hopefully I can still make it through Uncharted without much trouble.

Ah that sucks. There are some games that really need that feature to be played well.

Yeah. I'm gonna assume most recent games don't even try to use the touch stuff in a mandatory way to account for the PSTV and because they were fairly useless despite being unique. I just hope the key games can be easily played (I know Gravity Rush is fucked for PSTV).

Yup. And that Killzone Vita game uses the touchscreen as well.

I forgot if Soul Sacrifice used the touchscreen for something important. I don't think it does other than weakening bosses when you're dead.
