I might buy this.

I mean, I said that when X/Y came out, but I did say "might," so I guess I wasn't wrong.

GameXplain thinks these might not actually be Mega Evolutions. They think it could just be an enhanced form, since the most that changed was they glow now with different colors.

But I disagree, because at least on Kyogre, there are new lines aside from color changes and glowiness.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more.

Well Mega evolutions don't have to be major changes either!

*Points to Mega Kanghashan"

Nothing changed on that! :P

Also looks like it's 3D like X & Y.
Swampert and Sceptile are getting Mega Evolutions.
Kyogre and Groudon can fuse with Rayquaza too like Reshiram and Zekrom can with Kyurem

Are those confirmations or speculation? I haven't seen any affiliated company mention anything outside of "they exist." if they're in 3D, Nintendo's gonna have a hard time managing the profit margin, because they'd need an 8GB+ cartridge for a world that big.

Okay, Sceptile becoming the first Grass/Dragon type if freaking epic beyond belief (and that isn't even counting getting LIGHTNING shocking ROD as an ability). Loving the redesigns, especially with how Maxie and Archie look.

Ancient Devolution has peaked my interest though, mainly in regards to what it could reveal about Groudon/Kyogre's history. Not to mention Rayquaza possibly getting a Primal/Prehistoric form as well (which would look completely badass).

I LOVED Hoenn. I'm a hoenn hoe (and a henehoe - thanks MapleStory)

BUT. But. But  but...

I'm totes getting this game on the freesiez. And I'm sending my pokemon team over, using cloning, so that I can have the same team on X and the same team on AS:

Pikachu, Venusaur, Blastoise, Charizard, Snorlax and Lapras.

Gotta drop in and say hey.

As for the megas, love all of them. Diancie needed that because I did NOT like that thing by itself. That ugly-axe stone. But the mega makes the ugly stone make sense.

'Ancient Devolution' is an amazing concept, and I think it adds that legendary 'spark' that I personally felt Kyogre and Groudon were missing. I HOPE IN THE SINNOH REMAKES DIALGA AND PALKIA GET NEW FORMES! (#superiorsinnoh)

And for the actual characters, I'm wondering if this might be the same design team from Black 2 and White 2. Reason I'm saying this is because of how awesome and unique they look. These character designs just scream awesome. (And honestly I wasn't much a fan of any of the Pokemon R/S/E trainers or gym leaders or villain teams, but all these redesigns are fricking amazing.)

I hope this is where the remakes end, comix. Right now, you can get every Pokemon from every gen on your 3DS. That was the whole point of the remakes in the first place. I'm only okay with the RSE ones because transferring was tedious through three gens. And I LOVE Gen IV, but theyhonestly don't need remakes.

"I hope this is where the remakes end, comix."

I... I... I...  worry

Sinnoh's NEVER going to get the spotlight that way. Everyone around me hated that gen growing up, and it's always been my favorite. The atmosphere, the story, the pokemon... If the remakes stopped RIGHT before my favorite region, a little part inside of me with shrivel up and die, DP.

I understand where you're coming from, but I can't agree.

The people who didn't like Sinner won't magically like it if it gets a Z-axis. And right now, that's the only reason they'd have to remake Sinnoh. I'd rather just have an all-new adventure in the region, instead of making a remake for the sake of milking out some quick cash.

on the topic of Sinnoh remakes i don't think that we should see another remake until we get another big jump in how the game looks cause that would take awhile and keep the gaps between remakes big

I wouldn't want a Sinnoh remake, but revisiting the area, perhaps in a future taking place longer after the most recent chronological Pokemon game, would be fine.

Explore the same places and see how they've changed, new plot, new Pokemon that have come into / been introduced to the area, been created, or discovered-- including Mega Evolutions and Prehistoric Devolutions. New gym leaders, new areas, the introduction of the new mechanics, etc.

It makes sense considering the "time/space" element of the region. The plot could focus on Arceus or something.

Of course, I would rather have a completely new region and stuff, but if they were to go back to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, I'd just hope they wouldn't do a flat out remake.

There's no reason they would make a sequel for Sinnoh. This game isn't a sequel, either. It's a flat-out remake, said by Gamefreak themselves. So if the whole point is to get all the games on the same console, then I'm sad. 'Specially if the first 3 games got updates, BW/B2W2 look fine for what they are, and X and Y are X and Y. Then D/P/Pt just gets crap.

BW/2 are just incremental updates on what DPPt did, which in turn was an expansion of previous gens. The remakes only functioned as Dex fillers.

And honestly, there's nothing wrong with the artstyle of Gen IV; Platinum is still a damn gorgeous game.
