But that would be awesome. I wish Bardock and Goku would meet in one of these Revisits they Like doing these days. would be interesting.
I could've sworn they did that at one point.

I'm happy to help whenever I'm online! :P
I beat ever missions and have every character (besides SSG Goku - you have to S-rank mission 60, which is a bitch, LOL) - I'd be happy to help ya out online man! :)

The game is AMAZING!

All those people who give it a low rating have no idea what the game is about. They probably only played the first few missions then thought, "Oh well... this must be the whole game" - ignorant reviews. Anyone who's BEATEN the game knows this game is phenomenal! Many are saying it's the best DBZ game to-date on Gfaqs and other sites :)

I love the team based combat and I feel like the game was made for the Vita, I think they ported the Vita game to the PS3 and 360 for the sake of having another DBZ game on home consoles.

I'd gladly play haha, me and my brother both bought it and we haven't put it down dude!

Still doesn't interest me. I guess it's because I don't care much about DBZ (I like more variety in fighting styles is the biggest thing I have with it, but there are other reasons).

My problem with Tenkaichi series was everyone was too samey and the gameplay ended up not being quite as... fun, to me. I didn't really like the system for it. Me and DP used to play it quite a bit, and he always kicked my shit at it xD

But from the way it sounds, I'm probably not giving it the light of day. I tried to with Raging Blast and that let me down.

Now, the only DBZ game I've particularly liked was Supersonic Warriors. I never played the second game myself, but I think honestly the only "full DBZ" game I would care to buy would be Supersonic Warriors 3, unless they pulled out some oldschool or more traditional fighting (2d or 3d)-- even at the expense of flying and whatnot.

i maintain a 2d fighter without flying (Or having movement be like hovering or some shit like Morrigan always has except way more pronounced) in the vain of MvC3 would be the best way to do DBZ. except every character would be Virgil with the Teleport Combos. that sounds awesome and absolutely horrifying at the same time.

2D?

Well that's like saying Sonic is better in 2D... roughly. I mean, it's really all based on opinion. Tenkaichi series were amazing, as were the Budokai ones.

I feel like DBZ is better represented in the Tenkaichi/Raging Blast and BoZ style of fighting. Budokai and all the other 2-d fighting games just didn't feel like DBZ.

I prefer the whole free-roam battlefield thing we got going on, it's unique and represents the series a lot better than those 2-D fighters ever would. DBZ without flying? NO!

Some games are just out there to entertain you know? Not all the games have to be "competitive".

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, look at Powerstone. Great game, but I cant see it working competitively. DBZ doesn't work competitively anyway; the anime itself is so unbalanced it's not even funny, but Piccolo pre-fusion can still beat Buu in the game. This co-op/team feel is exactly how the series can work in game form

I'm not talking about how competitive it is, though. I certainly don't play at a competitive level for anything, not even Smash-- at least not anymore.

I'll agree it represents the series very well, especially since everybody fights basically the same way. But that's just it; I'm too disinterested in DBZ fights to want a fighting system based around it.

I just don't find it fun. I mean, it's a whole lot better than the Naruto Storm games, but it's still too... shallow for me.

I would rather have gameplay than fanservice. I understand why you would want the current system, but still, just as I would rather have Clash of Ninja over Storm, I'd much prefer Budokai over Tenkaichi.

In saying that you underestimate how similar the characters were in Budokai. It was just slightly more combo-based, but many characters ended up playing similarly. Some characters had slightly different attack animations, is all. Though the special moves tended to be more varied than in the Tenkaichi era (which ended up making a lot of characters markedly worse; Wolf Rang Fist was God awful in Budokai 3).

Actually, nope! This is literally, from what I can tell, the most balanced DBZ game yet! (Who you choose, ultimately depends on you who you enjoy playing as - their moves and whatnot!) - That's why there are no in-game transformations. SSJ2 Goku vs Yamcha? It's anyone's game, really! Love the game!

i would honestly prefer an off balance game with Transformations. if it was a competitive fighter sure but this isn't. i dunno. it sounds better than i thought though. what else is left to do outside MP?

Well this game is COMPLETELY Different from any other DBZ game - to the point where Transformations really don't even matter. In fact, Transformations would ruin the game, because of the cards. You have to play many missions to actually understand that. People who are whining about the game having no transformations are pretty ignorant of how the game, itself, plays. It's different from any other DBZ game, really, and it's actually very good!
Outside multiplayer, unfortunately, not much at all. Just re-doing missions, unlocking the cards, etc. I mean, you can always just go online and vs other players. (Free-for-All). However, I actually enjoy replaying the missions over and over.

Lucky….I'm stuck against Cell! D=<

@lpool: Dude, it's really different. It's very team based because of the roles however you can beef up your characters to play other roles! It really depends on who you like and what play style you enjoy using.

There's fighters who specialize in Ki, Melee, Interference and Support. Some are combinations of all of these. It's a very interesting take on a DBZ game.
