Fallout 3 and New Vegas

Post by Fabsta1994 on Wed Dec 18, 2013 5:01 am

I recently purchased Vegas. Now, back when I borrowed this from my friend I never really had any freezing issues or glitches of a serious caliber. So when I hear that many people who've bought either game was experiencing game crashes due to saves racking up a high memory count and the game getting slower and slower the longer you play it it makes me wonder if Bethesda fixed those issues by now.

I'd certainly hope so because I've been meaning to beat both games for a while and I'd be pretty pissed to know I'm playing on a memory limit and having to reset my playstation every now and again to keep the cache clear.

I'll be grabbing 3's GOTY edition for a cheap price so I on't have to pay for all the DLC, while this is good I hear it only slows the game down quicker. Makes me wonder if Bethesda cares at all about the state of their games. The issues never happened to me so maybe I was just lucky at the time.

What do you know about the state of those games? It may just be the deciding factor on whether or not I should just return Vegas and skip out on 3.

I don't know about on PS3 but I barely had any non-regular-Bethesda problems on 360. That said, you're on PS3 so it's likely you'll run into shit.

I don't mind any sort of silly glitches. I'm just worried about te game slowing down until it's virtually unplayable due to it's buildup of memory the longer you play it. (This has happened to people across all platforms.)

I played at least 1200 cumulative hours on the 3D Fallouts, never had that problem. Safe bet you won't, but PS3 increases the chances
