FPS of the Next-Generation?

Post by BigBox on Fri Sep 27, 2013 9:09 am

Personally, I think it's gonna be Killzone Shadow Fall because there is no limitations on how you can play the game.

None of these.  It's going to be Destiny

Destiny's not all that grey, Dragon.

That said, none of these will hold true. The early FPS games wont define the whole gen. Saints Row 1 didn't define early 7th gen open world games. Perfect Dark Zero didn't define the FPS games. Definitive experiences are provided two to three years later, once the gameplay is optimized on the consoles. MW1 and Halo 3 both came out in 2007; GTA IV came out in 2008. (Although with open world games, GTA V defines this gen better than IV, even if I'd argue it defines next gen even better than this one.)

TF2 doesn't count in this category, not unless they make a TF3.

That's exactly why i say its the next generation of FPS games.  It's trying something new and ambition with the FPS genre and if it works, and bungie has a great track record, it will be absolutely amazing
