Just as I thought, ever since the announcement the Vita was meant for the PS4.

Not a surprise since it only came out two years ago. I just wish Cross-Buy/Play had been more successful since that would've helped it tremendously come PS4. I mean, I was planning on getting one this year (still do somewhat), specifically for that reason, but for the second time I'm reconsidering due to lack of games that interest me besides GR1/2 and a few others. I might just drop the Vita for a while and focus on maximizing my Next Gen with a cheap Wii U and a PS4. But with GTA out and a bunch of stingy friends I might push out a PS4 until a Second Son Bundle hits.

Vita TV is definitely a good option if it does hit here (I never said *I* wouldn't like one lol). Can't go wrong at $129 (my projected price since Sony will probably up it for no great reason over here).

I'm gonna stop you on 'lack of games.'

1. Killzone Merc.
2. Gravity Rush/2
3. Unit 13
4. Uncharted Golden Abyss
5. Hot Shots Golf
6. Soul Sacrifice
7. Soul Sacrifice Delta
8. God Eater 2
9. Little Big Planet Vita
10. Modnation Racers
11. Teraway
12. Escape Plan

That doesn't sound like a lack of games to me.  That looks like a great list of games that will give you many hours of game time until more come out.

I said "that interest me." Of those 13, I'd play maybe 8, 4 of which are games and their sequels (GR and SS), one of and at least one of which isn't playable on VTV (UC). I'm not sure I'd play one of them because it's playable on other platforms, and I'm not sold on Tearaway so I could cross that off too. So that is about 5 games, really. And P4G, so 6. But still not enough to warrant a Vita itself.

just to prove a point Bolded are games i wanna play, underlined are bonuses  really isn't enough to warrant a vita especially with the 3ds out there. as much as i want a vita there still isn't a truely compelling reason to buy one.

Oh I could give two shits about the 3DS's lineup too lol. Neither is worth that much to me right now, but the Vita is above because of Cross-[Anything].

There is only one game that makes me buy a 3DS outright. And even then that's only for the unique, glorious purple model that we know will come with it.

No video games purchases for a while? Well then, with the next amount of money you got you're going to buy a game. It doesn't matter if you have the platform or not just buy it. lol xD jk

My list would include something more like, in no order:

Killzone Mercenary
Soul Sacrifice (Delta?)
Persona 4: Golden

Uh. . .shit, that's it. LBPVita is essentially LBP2, and Gravity Rush 1 is too flawed for me to really consider it a great game. Good, but not great. GR2 has huge potential because of 1's excellent mechanics. Everything else is really just minor, uninteresting, or flops like Modnation Racers. Uncharted would be there but it's a lot of gimmicks and little to go back for. (Which is really important for a portable game, you know?) Or unreleased, which granted I'm already wetting myself over Tearaway but I really only count what's here in the present.
Don't get me wrong. I love my Vita and I play it endlessly, especially SS and currently KZ with the occasional trip back to LBPV. I also loved P4G. The only game I own for it that I don't love to pieces is Sly 4.

On topic, I think Vita TV is great but I have no use for it, or at least no desire to attach my games to a TV. Plus that stretched resolution can't look so good. But marketed as a streaming and budget console, it could do great and Vita game sales could even spike a bit. It's only $100 after all. There's a lot of people who would love to play something like Soul Sacrifice but not dish out crazy money on a Vita.

Vita TV is kind of pointless for me, but I see why somebody else would love it. Either way, glad it's coming over here. Sucks they can't figure a way to get the games that have a lot of touch specific features playable :/

From what I understand those games will become playable when the Dualshock 4 is available because of the touch pad on it.
