Meet Mighty No. 9! A.k.a. Mega Man's re-incarnation

Post by shikiyakumo on Sat Aug 31, 2013 10:15 pm

Classic Japanese side-scrolling action, evolved and transformed by Keiji Inafune, an all-star team of veteran Mega Man devs...and YOU!

Yep. Keiji's trying to make Mega Man again. lol

What in the world is this!?  Why does this exist?  Why, Capcom?  Why did you put your fans through so much torment they have to create this hell spawn?  Well, Capcom...

Its a MM rip off not a MM reboot anaconda. Exhibit A the kickstarter link. Basically old MM devs said fuck capcom and are gonna give the fans a MMesque game cause capcom won't.

I like this. I like this a lot. I don't like Mega Man, but I like this.

And Anaconda, this is technically an indie game. Capcom wants nothing to do with MM so now Inafune took it into his own handsz Last time he did that? MM2, widely considered the best of the classic series.

They can have all of my money if I was able to donate online. Fffff....

@Anaconda: Keiji doesn't own the rights to Megaman. So it's not all that bad. It's good for Keiji that he can actually keep his shit and not let it die just because he doesn't own it.

Indeed reading through it it sounds really cool.....but soo much of a rip off mmx. Your former partners the mighty robots are infected with a virus and Beck mighty 9 must stop em with his partner Call (Beck and Call lol.) You get their powers when you beat em some of which allow you to transform. Difference is their is super forms....thats about it. Capcom could very well hold a case if they want but I Don't think they will.

Some of us don't remember that Capcom. Studying their history they have always been like this just not as blatant. Like ea.

And Nintendo. They were worse than Microsoft wishes it could be back in the NES days. Hence why EA and other third parties still hate them.

Anyway, I also wanna point out Okamiden. They gave the Okami franchise a pretty good sequel. That's all we can ask from most publishers nowadays (*looks at the empty space on my wall where a PSAS2 poster should be*).

Okamiden was a great game but it didn't address the promise of a new adventure and land at the end of Okami even ending on the same promise.

And yeah Nintendo are rather evil in their practices even today.

Keji Inafune is one of my heroes. Capcom is probably my #1 most hated company. What kind of idiots blame their fans for the cancellation of a game they were working closely with their fans on?

Frick. I don't like capcom.

This game looks good though. If capcom does anything, I'm going to super hate them forever.

That sounds more like Mega Man 10 than X, but alright.

Anyways, I'm proud of Inafume sticking to to Capcom. Not really interested in this specific game, though. The only MM series I really cared about was X. Still, all power to them.

I'd actually rank Activision over ea Dragon but that's it. I agree Nintendo aren't some sort of industry Satan any more but damm they can cheat their customers sometimes. I mean the Wii u is the first time you have sold at a loss...really?
