Hm, that sounds like code for Bayonetta dying in the end of 2. But it's a breath of fresh air to see that kind of mindset in a developer.

I got that feeling too, and that it is. Normally developers are going on and on about sequels.

I can respect his decision. Not that it really points to Bayo dying, moreso that he's just done with the game after 2 comes out. Good to know that Platinum doesn't want to reuse ideas for their games, a mindset that more developers should have...

Yeah, now if only fans can grab a hold of that mind-set as well. -Looks at Final Fantasy 7 fans.-

Platinum really is the more successful version of Grasshopper. Both only make either cult hits or great games, and both seem to have no problem ending series where they should (NMH and Bayonetta).

You know, it's possible for characters to NOT DIE in their final game. Just throwing that out there.

I pointed out NMH as a specific example to backtrack on the death comment. That doesn't mean I don't doubt she dies, though; she fought a person that THROWS GALAXIES in the first game. How does that get topped in 2? Probably with some fantastical death scene. Otherwise fans will find some way to bitch about loose ends that need a third game for some reason.

It could go either way and make sense; the NMH way would be preferable but its fanbase shows exactly why ending a cult series in an open manner doesn't work. Look at lpool and Okami, for a less rabid example.

Well, now that the demons are going against her will, it could end up being the demon version of Jubilious (idk how to spell it) that Bayo fights. Or God himself...
