World of Warcraft: The Movie

"Warcraft Movie to Start Filming in January 2014"

The quote above sounds pretty exciting, and the movie is being directed by Duncan Jones.  The guy responsible for this piece of work here. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/ (The Moon)

Now, let's hope Blizzard gets really involved with this movie like they should and it looks like this.

If it doesn't have Illidin, I'm not watching it.

Well, actually, that's not true. But the thing about Warcraft is there's tons upon tons of lore. The best thing to base a movie on, imo, is the actual Warcraft games rather than focusing on specifically the Frozen Throne expansion pack in Wow (and by that I mean the Lich King line in particular).

But heck, you could make a whole series of movies based on the first three games alone (stories of Arthas, Illidin, the Horde, etc), let the 3 different Old Gods, the important parts of FT (Wrathgate, battle for Undercity, Icecrown etc), Cataclysm, the various dungeons where you go back in time (especially Hyjal), Battle for Orgrimmar, Black Temple + questline into it (make it about Maiev), the Sunwell, Naxxramas, the Scarlet Citadel, the story of the Death Knights, the Sundering, you could spin a story to include all of Blackrock Mountain into a single adventure movie, the Emerald Dream...

Karazhan would be amazingly fun to watch, and you could easily put some crap behind it for a plot like "we need to go get Atiesh because of some threat here or there" or something. Goes against the game since it was actually in Dalaran until Archimonde destroyed it, then having it splintered into 40 pieces of wood, the base, and the headpiece. But... whatever, everything else goes against the game too.

No matter what you do, it gonna go against the game because the element of gameplay isn't there.  Anyway, I know there is a lot of WoW lore and almost all of it is really good.  Whatever they choose to do the movie about, with Travis Fimmel I can't wait to see what it is.  Then also, the WoW lore is backwards as opposed to how Warcraft and the books tells it though.  Also, when I posted the video I was just suggesting that, Blizzard do majority of the editing with the green screen and special effects.  That way they can get it to look as close as possible to those epic CG intros.
