Its **JUST MY OPINION** - but i see anime as childish. Just being honest here! Sorry, don't mean to offend. I've seen many others and they're all stupid- japanine characters have unnatural; almost very irregular, childish responses to things, and just, as a whole anime feels nerdy. I just cringe when i see the characters/how they talk/etc.

Looks like someone hasn't seen/read Claymore, Cowboy Bepop, Gantz, Akame Ga Kiru, Ichi the Killer (there's actually a live action movie on this. It's not as good as the Manga but it's alright), or Berserk just to name a few that are pretty dark or even fucked up in general. Even if it is your opinion, there is still some good shit out there other than DBZ and Hellsing that isn't consisted of overpowered teenagers or school life.

I also think it's unfair that your judging the dialogue from the English dubbing as well, as it can go both ways depending on the company translating, the voice actors, and said companies altering the script from the original source.

But really, if you're looking for an anime that doesn't have shitty voice acting and a great and adult storyline, Cowboy Bepop is up there.

Speaking of which, Clare (Claymore) should totally be a playable character.

Yeaaaah...

Underneath, I'm SUPER judgemental and have my little "groups" for people, but I need to remember that just because I find it childish, others may not!

I was listening to a sermon about bitterness, and how it really negatively affects one's relationship with Christ, so I need to try and stop being so judgemental- sorry guys!

Like fo real! Christ would woop yo behind if he found out you be dissin' da Afro Samurai and Samurai Champloo.

But yeah, just don't be too "judgmental". We all know what happened in that CoD thread. I think it's better to avoid rustling people jimmies just to have future headaches later. Lol

It's actually not that insulting, as that's the usual argument for somebody not to watch anime: "It's childish." And I can see why people think that. They're used to cartoons being so simple and childish that seeing something animated  makes them just assume that.

Anyway, last I checked, I don't remember kids watching people getting killed, getting their limbs chopped off, getting eaten, tortured, mutilated, other adult content (Panty & Stocking instantly comes to mind...), etc.

No sir-bob. Back in my young days, we used to sit there and watch things like giant purple dinosaurs teach a bunch of little kids what "love" is and a bunch of random ass animal morph puppet things tell us how to live our lives when it obviously hadn't been working out for them since they were living in the streets... lol

As for the way people act, ask Japan... The gestures used to be used to show expression in characters that weren't as detailed as they can be today. They're still used because I think it's just grown into a part of the culture...

Turns out I made a mistake. The picture, and the list of characters, was for a board game also made by Bandai.

It just coincidentally had all the confirmed characters and a bunch of realistic future choices.

I sort of wanted to for J-Stars to focus more on individual franchises than double dippers, but I suppose that it can't be helped. A second character for One Piece is pretty much inevitable now, and it'll obviously be either Zoro or Sanji (if I had to make the choice though, I'd prefer either Brook or Franky).

I expected the most popular franchises to get at least three reps. (Hero, Rival, and villain)

Three's likely, but I don't see more than that for a 3D fighting franchise's first installment. However, DBZ, Naruto, and One Piece are obviously going to get the maximum amount. Bleach is at least getting two, I know that for sure. The expected archetypes you pointed out are also very likely. However, when it comes to One Piece, I don't see anybody but the Straw Hats and Ace. MAYBE Blackbeard though, I suppose. DBZ though, it's obviously going to have Frieza, Cell, or Kid Buu. Naruto, it's most likely going to have Orochimaru or Pain get added (leaning towards the former though).

I'm kind of expecting the next update to be Zoro, Renji, and finally a new franchise rep. (Possibly something like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or even Dr. Slump)

Too be honest, i see Arale being revealed with Bobobo because they're both comedy manga and so far theres been a bit of a pattern. (Characters have something in common with each other)

Popular Choices: Goku, Toriko, Luffy, and latter Naruto

Swordsmen: Kenshin and Ichigo

Comedy: Kankichi Ryoutsu and Gintoki Sakata

Same Author: Gon and Yusuke

Popular Rivals: Vegeta, Zebra, and Sasuke

Where's Yugi :p

honestly I can't get hype till localization is confirmed (and it won't be. Too many rights shenanigans) but if I ever learn Japanese i'll consider importing.
