I might, also I already have a level 80 Death Knight that's pretty bossed out for that time of course. But, he's probably on the wrong server anyway and I kind of want to play a different class anyway.

I know they've said, "no" to a free-to-play model.  However, do you think that these free-to-play games they're releasing (Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm) are a way of testing the FTP waters?  I have feeling that they are, and depending on the performance of the upcoming expansion, Warlords of Draenor.  I think they might go the free-to-play route with, World of Warcraft.

I doubt they'll ever go full F2P, because Activision, but I do see a level cap increase for F2P members.

Aside from the fact that Activision and Blizzard are still two different entities.  Since Activision doesn't own, Blizzard.  That's now what a business partnership is.  I do see them raising the FTP level cap as well.

Bobby Kotick runs both companies equally as CEO of the holding company. That's precisely the "Activision" I'm referring to. It's also not a business partnership so much as a merger, but that's semantics. Kotick does whatever will net him the highest profit overall, and right now cutting the need subscriptions on the most popular MMO in the world doesn't make sense from a money-grubbing perspective.

The side games are free because they wouldn't work if they were pay to play; I meant to mention that earlier but I forgot. You can't have a successful paid League/Dota style game, and the card game wouldn't perform well if you had to pay to own it on top of paying for card packs. It'll be interesting if they do an overall subscription that gives you perks on all three in addition to a WoW sub.

I know that, however it still seems like Blizzard acts as an independent company.  None of their products are rushed out the door and they always maintain a very high quality development cycle.  I know that he's the CEO of both companies, however it seems like he lets Blizzard be Blizzard.  Which is why I see FTP WoW as a possibility.

I see where you're coming from, and all of that is understandable.  As of late though, they have been making WoW more accessible to a wide range of eSports gamer's.  I think that if Blizz does make it FTP it would be to push the Arena games in WoW into the eSports spotlight.

I'd argue that Diablo 3 was incredibly rushed. There's a reason it was hated upon launch, and it wasn't ENTIRELY because if Diablo 2 fanboys lol. Otherwise, yeah, Kotick tends to leave them be. However, if Blizzard's fans didn't buy up everything they make, that probably wouldn't be the case.

I would personally disagree, Diablo 3 took 10 years to develop.  This includes the original developer dropping the project, and them having to find a new one.  Then after finding a new one, took another three years to make the game within that 10 year span.

And it still ended up with a horrendous auction house and a bunch of things that pissed off old fans.

The game itself wasn't ACTUALLY rushed, but the version with we know, as you said, took three years to make compared on top of development hell. Any game in development hell tends to have problems in general because of the change in direction. The current build isn't too bad, I've heard, but it's been a year and even SimCity fixed its problems by now lol.

But Diablo is off topic anyway. Kind of. Not really. I dunno. Either way I expect a level cap of half the max for F2P WoW players (probably 50 when the expansion hits)

It did, but as you said.  That's the kind of product we end up after development hell.  I'm not surprised it took Blizzard a while to fix it, because I expected a top-notch fix from Blizzard.

I was think around that area too, although it will probably be level 60.  Since that was the level cap of Vanilla WoW.
