I had a friend who played all of them quit after AC3.  He never even finished it.  That's a shame too because you get to chill with george washington haha.  Either way, i probably won't be getting a ps4 until destiny drops (there's going to be a destiny/ps4 bundle cheers ) so i'll have plenty of time to look over the reviews

that's what i've heard.  AC4 looks like it has a ton of pirate stuff to do such as loot randomly spawning merchant ships and go on treasure hunts

I will admit, the boat fights were pretty fun for the times that you had to do them in AC3

And then the game crashed.

Lol jokes aside, I played and loved Brotherhood, and then when Revelations was announced a week later stopped being a fan of the series. I lost all interest in it once Ubi milked it and lost all respect when the AC TRILOGY got a fourth numbered game.

Not to mention theyve gotten progressively less assassiny after Brotherhood too (really after II)

I rather they took it to Feudal Japan with ninja and samurai, as I've said in previous topics.

It just seems more... viable? Believable?

This is Assassin's Creed, not Pirates of the Caribbean.

Pirates =/= Assassin

Meh. Pirates kill people. They steal things. And they don't give a shit who they work for, no matter how corrupt they may be. Assassins are basically the same thing, but stealthier and trained. So yeah, I don't really care lol. But yes, Feudal Japan would be infinitely better.

I was excited for Ratchet & Clank Future" Quest for Booty because it featured pirates. It turned out to be a poor man's Precursor Legacy. what

That analogy makes no sense count. Never has.

And it's irrelevant how similar they are Edward is not an assassin. He's a pirate trained by the brotherhood but no longer is he an assassin. That's what makes him so interesting an assassin without the morals. Guess it's to fill in the gaps of how the line of Desmond went and became Templars (or rather his dad....cause Desmonds story is over.)

But feudal Japan would have been infinitely cooler. Ninjas were made for this series and as an assassin there's no harm in being a samurai at the same time or having the samurai as Templars.

People have wanted Japan since like II; I'm still waiting for the inevitable "Ubisoft co-funds Pirates 5" headline to explain this game's existence. Because right now it's "hey, you like the boating from III? Well now we have a whole GAME about it! It's a lot easier to annualize the series if we just make it about one mechanic, so this game shouldnt have the problems III did!"

And then E3 happened and Ubisoft murdered the guy who pitched IV.

I still think ACIV is Ubisoft's way of making AC3 feel like a vital installment to the series. That, and the lazy procedure of reusing the assets of boat riding and gunplay. what

Duuuuuuuuuuuude. You should've gave it a chance. The series potential starts to get truly realized when the crew reaches Alabasta. what

Anyways, back on topic... I've got nothing.
